Default DSO 9.0 impossible to find - 02-12-2006 , 11:00 AM

I need to run code from VBA in Excel to reprocess my AS2005 cubes.

To do this I have tried to install the DSO 9.0 library however a 5 minute
job has been taking days. After finally finding it in the Backwards
Compatibility components download, I found the basic sample code to connect
to the server wouldn't work. I have spent hours on this and realised finally
by running Debug.Print DSOServer.Version that the 8.0 version was being
reinstalled not 9.0! I simply cannot find 9.0 anywhere on the Internet and
deleting the DSO folder and then installing Backwards Compatability
components still leaves me with 8.0. What's going on?!!

TIA,

Rob

there is no more DSO library with AS2005
everything is XML/A commands based.
so to create, manage, process etc... your cubes, you have to execute XML/A
commands.

you can also look at the AMO object model.
