Default Drillthrough on LocalCube - 10-09-2003 , 01:15 PM

Can DRILLTHROUGH be performed using an MDX query on
a "Localcube"?

I tried to do it but I get a "Run-time error- 2147467259
(80004005): The Operation requested failed due to security
problems - resource access error.

Environment - Win 2K, VB 6.0, MDAC 2.7.
Local cube created using "Create cube" statement. Data
source for cube - MSAccess 2000.

Thanks,
Vijay

Hi,

This should work, of course you must save the dimensions you query into the
ofline cube.

Have a look if you aren't encountering this sp4 bug, if yes please let me
know if you need the fix.

You May Receive an Error Message After You Run an MDX Query That WGID:230

Has anyone ever figured this out? This is the only place on the Internet I've been able to find someone with the same problem - resource access error when attempting drillthrough on an offline cube.

Mind you, I created my cube using Office 2003's Offline Cube Wizard, which you'd think wouldn't have any security associated with it
