Default Drillthrough data in Excel 2000 PivotTable - 06-09-2004 , 03:31 AM

Hello

I build a cube with Analysis Services. For the cube I enabled the drillthrough options. When I look in the Analysis Services I can see all selected drillthrough data. But when I connect an Excel 2000 PivotTable to the cub, I'm not able to drill through the data. What have I done wrong?

Please advic

Oliver

How are you expecting to drill through to the data from Excel? Excel 2000 doesn't include this functionality out of the box - you will need to either buy an Excel addin for AS that allows you to do this, or write some code yourself.

If you look at http://www.mosha.com/msolap/util.htm you'll find links to some articles showing how to do this in Office XP; they should give you some pointers on what you need to do.

HTH,

Chris

Does that mean it is possible to use that drill code with owc 9 (office 2000
web component). Or can drill not at all be performed with owc 9 ?
