Default drill through - 12-26-2006 , 07:03 PM

I migrated AS2000 cube to SSAS 2005. In my 2000 version, Drill Through
option i enabled some of the columns in fact table (that is not part of
measure or dimension). When I try to todo same in 2005, it shows only
dimension and measures. Is there any way to display columns in fact table in
drill through.

thanks
kalyan

add a new neasuregroup in your cube and use measures from this group for the
drill.

create no aggregations, setup this measuregroup to ROLAP and set the
measures with the "no aggregation" option (instead of sum of something else)
there is no local storage and no processing time required for this measure
group.

you MUST link your detailed fact table to your dimensions, like any other
fact table.
