Hi, Can someone kindly explain what really is that Drill-Down option that we come across when designing a cube/dimension. What exactly does it allow/offer? I'll be grateful if you can explain with a mini example please. Thanks. |

Dont' you mean drill through option ? If it's drill through it means that instead of returning an aggregated result from the fact table ... which is the "normal" behaviour using OLAP technology you can request the exact records using the current pivot line up. If you have A on pages, B on rows and C and columns you will get all the records in the fact table When doing this Analysis goes deep down into the fact table by using an SQL statement which you will not be shown...
