Default Documenting cubes in a webapplication - 01-05-2005 , 04:02 AM

This is what I want:
When users select a cube on our intranet, they get an overview of all dimension names, levels, measures and processing date. I understand that you use DSO for this, like the OLAP scribe and Toms tool. But what has to be done more when the documentation has to be shown on the intranet. I make use of ASP pages.

The output of OLAP Scribe
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
is a doc file -- which you can have pre-created and that latest version
posted at known locations on your intranet (or on a file share). Then your
ASP application just links to them.

Thanks for your reaction. I still have got some problems with OLAP scribe. Is it possible to render information about one cube and not of all cubes in de database?
And what when a cube has been changed with new members or levels? We are talking about many, many cubes. I should like most when changes automaticly appear on the user's screen.

Yes, you can pick what objects you want to document.
