Default Disable Analysis Services Dimension Caching - 08-22-2003 , 04:09 PM

All:

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to stop Analysis Services from
pre-loading all Shared Dimensions (and Priate Dimensions, for that matter)
upon server start. I heard somewhere, that there is an obscure property that
controls this behavior...

Any ideas?

TIA,

MTI

All dimensions are loaded into memory when the service starts up. There is
no property that allows you to configure this otherwise.

If you find that you still need more memory, the 64-bit edition of Analysis
Services can utilize more than 3GB of address space.
