Default Dimensions and Facts - 07-06-2004 , 06:56 PM

I have a relational structure that basically defines Loan 'Contracts'.
These are stored in multipe tables. I have created a view that joins
these tables together and presents the information that I want. None
of these tables are stored on a transactional database.

In Analysis Services, is it possible to define dimensions and facts
from this one view, or do I have to create a new schema, dimension and
fact tables, and populate this through DTS packages ?

Any help much appreciated.

You can most certainly create a cube from one view. This view would contain
all the measures and dimensions.
