Default Dimension WriteBack - 01-21-2004 , 08:02 AM

Has anyone come across a client application or some Sample Code that
supports Dimension WriteBack?

I want to give a user the ability to move or change the members in a
Parent/Child dimension without giving him access to Analysis Manager.

Many Thanks,
Richard

ProClarity does write back, and there is a sample on Mosha.com that uses
excel...
BUT, writeback cannot do what you want it to do. All it can do is change
measure values, not rearange member hierarchies.

Thanks Chris,

But have a look at "Write-Enabled Dimensions" in SQL Server Books Online ...
It IS actually supported and works great in Analysis Manager but I'm trying
to put together a better client though.
