I have a number of Dimensions with a large number of members. I am looking for a way to limit the members that appear in Dimension B based on what I have selected in Dimension A. For example, If I have Dim_State and Dim_Product and I select 'corn' from Dim_Product, I don't what to see the members from Dim_State that do not supply 'corn'. Is there anyway to do this with Analysis Services or the Excel Add-in? Thank you. James |

only applications with this feature in the kernel can do this. or you have to develop your own application. from a cube point of view, the only solution is to create a dimension based on product & state (but its not a good idea) (so merging the state & product dimensions into 1) "Hex Caliber" <hex (AT) caliber (DOT) com> wrote in message news:810F4BC1-8ACC-4DC0-9AE7-44C22C5B0165 (AT) microsoft (DOT) com... Hi, There are not many software who support what you mean. One company named Lucesco in Sweden has a software which allows this. I work there so you can get a demo if you want to or visit www.lucesco.se, but a demo has to be requested. "Hex Caliber" wrote: I have a number of Dimensions with a large number of members. Thank you. I have visited your website and I would like to request a Demo. The filtering that we discussed is something I would like to see in action. This functionality has been requested by a number of our business users, so I am suprised that microsoft isn't addressing it with Analysis Services itself. Thanks again.
