Looking for a control which I can use on Excel form to browse
dimension levels & members which enables multiple levels and members
to be selected. Just like in the Excel Pivot table, except I want to
handle the generation of MDX thereafter using these selected values to
give a static non-pivot table output into a worksheet.

Has anyone any ideas where I might find such a control?

The Microsoft Excel Add-in for MS AS

spx) has a control that does just that (though it is not explicitly
documented).

It also has several functions and methods that allow you to retrieve OLAP
cubes metadata and data, and it also exposes the resulting MDX.

Maybe you could try and download it if you haven't already.
