Default Determining memory used by AS - 01-05-2005 , 12:46 PM

Hello,

How can I tell how much memory the msmdsrv.exe process is currently
using in total? I can see in task manager that "Mem Usage" is at 590
Meg, and the "VM Size" is 1.1 Gig, does that mean that msmdsrv.exe is
using about 1.7 Gig?

I ask this because I had thought "Mem Usage" was the correct number,
but we began seeing "Out of memory" errors recently during querying.
This makes me think we're hitting the 2 gig limit.

thanks,
Matt

Out of memory errors are caused by running out of virtual memory (address
space).

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the response. Just so I'm perfectly clear--when you mention
"virtual memory" above you're talking about the "VM Size" seen in task
manager, right?

thanks,
matt
