Have a question.

Have a dimension which is a hierachy (2 levels) - however the user would
like to be able to select values in the bottom level separately. Some of the
ways that I have tried

a) a separate physical dimension
b) a vitual dimension based on member properties of the other
c) a separate physical dimension which depends on the hierachy dimension

However none of these give the desired result using MS pivottables. I want a
separate dimension but want a choose the drop down list box i want only the
values shown that correspond to the selected father in the hierachy
dimension.

So if i in the hierachy dimension have chosen father 1 and this father has
two children - only these two children should figure in the drop down list
box.

Could this be solved using custom roll up formula or anyway else ?
