Default Default displayed dimension member to a value - 11-05-2003 , 03:16 PM

Greetings.

I have a dimension named "Company". This dimension contains 3 members
:
(1) ABC Systems Asia
(2) ABC Systems Europe
(3) ABC Systems North America

I have "All Company" level enabled for COMPANY dimension and this is
the value displayed for this dimension when I browse cube data in
Analysis Manager.

Does anybody know a way in which whenever I go into Analysis Manager
and browse the cube, the Company Dimension automatically displays "ABC
Systems Europe"?

I don't want to "Restrict Dimension", nor do I want to remove the "All
company" level.

Thanks in advance.

Ben

You can set a default member for the dimension.
Open the dimension editor, select the dimension name (All
Level)...click advanced tab in properties pane...set the
default member there.
When that's done, whenever you open any cube using that
dimension, the dimension uses its default dimension member.
Hope this helps !
