Is it true that DTS is going to be replaced in the all-new 64-bit SQL Server 2003? If so, what by? |

Ah, maybe that explains the confusion that the original poster had. He presumably thought this was the new release of SQL Server and DTS had gone. If you are referring to the 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2000 that released earlier this year, there is no DTS in that release. You can store DTS packages in SQL Server 2000 64-bit, but you can't execute them on the 64-bit server. Is it true that DTS is going to be replaced in the all-new 64-bit SQL Server 2003? If so, what by? What "all-new 64-bit SQL Server 2003"? There's a 64-bit version of SQL Server 2000 with almost identical functionality to the old 32-bit version (so it's hardly "all-new"), but no other major new versions of SQL Server are expected this year. Thanks for clearing that up. Isn't there a new release of SQL Server due sometime soon though, if not this year then next?
