Default Dave W. - where can I get SQL server 2000 resource kit - 04-18-2005 , 09:43 AM

Dave,

I've seen your consistent answer to use the Meta data scripter in the SQL
server 2000 resource kit to diagnose some of the esoteric issues involved
with DSO.

But where can I get the Resource kit; my IS folks are telling me it's a book
that costs $300, I find it hard to believe that it's not a free download.

Please advise,

Thanks,
Jim

Jacco,

Thanks but, I'm looking for the METADATA SCRIPTER -- any ideas?

I don't see it as a download...

Hi Jim.
Two ways that I know of:
1) buy the book
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...sbn=0735612668
2) find someone in your company who has a Technet subscription. Technet
produces a Resource Kit CD/DVD which has all of the Microsoft Resource Kits
on it.

Others might now of other ways to get it.

Hope that helps.
