Default Date Dimension - Restrict timestamp in date level - 08-11-2003 , 04:23 AM

Hi ..

I have a date dimension, whose levels are as under.
* Year
* Quarter
* Month
* Week
* Date

The data type of "Date" level is datetime and my dimension data shows
the date with the timestamp appended. E.g. 1 January 2003 appears as
"01-01-2003 00:00:00".

I want to restrict the time part of the data.
The user should be able to see the above record as "01-01-2003"

Can anyone suggest a solution for the same.

Thanks in Advance,
Asif

Go to the dimension editor, select the date level, and then go to the
advance properties.
go to the data type proerty and select the dbdate property.

Please let me know if this worked for you or not in both cases

Thanks,

Asim Naveed.

This does not work as even dbDate has the timestamp.

I have used a view with the date in char format to achieve the same in
my dimension.

Thanks for the reply.
