Default database and flex aggregates - 12-26-2005 , 09:16 AM

Hey,

I Restart the server and my main database which was 40gb is now only 20gb.
i have tha the date for browsing and all seems ok,
but when i looked at the data directory and compare the files from my last
backup
i can see that there are some missing files.
most of the agg.flex.map are just gone...
need your help to understand this issue

Best Regards,
Chai.

Did you re-design aggregations or incrementally process a dimension?
Probably some similar operation cleared the flexible aggregations and/or
indexes and they were being built lazily in the background when you
looked...

Aggs may be built lazily in the background -- although there is now a DSO
option to synchronously rebuild aggs/indexes at the time of processing
(ProcessFullReaggregate).

See:

and

Thanks,
Akshai
