I am processing a cube with partitions based on Quarters (Date Dimension). My
fact table has around 60 millions records. Cube processes fine if I dont have
nay index on the fact table. But when I create any index, the processing
times out and I need to restart my OLAP service to do further work. Any idea
what is the reason behind this timing out. I am using AS 2000.
Any help is appreciated.

This may be specific to your system configuration (hardware and RAM).
Investigate the load and review the server log to identify the part that
failed during processing.
