I have a cube security issue that completely baffles & annoys me. Analysis Server is installed on a domain controller. I have 4 databases defined, each with one cube. eg: A, B, C, D I've created 4 security groups, one for each cube, & a user for each group. I login as the user for cube C. Open Excel, create a datasource to the analysis server. I can see all 4 cubes. I've followed the doc on database & cube roles. I can see now errors. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Ray |

Each user is a member of only one group, the one setup for that database. I'm sure that it's quite simple, I just can't find the problem! Thanks - Ray -----Original Message----- Make sure that the Users of each of the four groups aren't System Administrators / OLAP Administrators in the Analysis Services machine. -----Original Message----- Hi Ray, I would agree with Sanka's suggestion. You need to be a member of the Administrators or OLAP Administrators group |
|
You will need to remove yourself from those groups on the appropriate Server before you can test the security |

Hope this helps, Nigel. "Ray Elliott" wrote: Each user is a member of only one group, the one setup for that database. I'm sure that it's quite simple, I just can't find the problem!
