Default Cube Processing Failed - 09-19-2004 , 11:35 AM

When I tried to Process the Sales Cube in the Analysis Manager Tutorial I
got this message:

"[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default
driver specified;IM002; "

I followed the instructions strictly.

"Test Connection" reports "Test Connection succeeded" in Data Link
Properties of the Data Source "Tutorial".

Please help. Thanks, Dan

Processing is done "on the server" by the msmdsrv process using the service
account credientials given to it (see the Srart \ Administrative Tool \
Services).

What you are seeing is that your interactive account (where you are running
Analysis Manager) on your local machine (if being created remotely) is OK;
but the server can't. So possible solutions might be: 1) change your service
account for the MSSQLServerOLAPService to use a domain account, 2) if being
created remotely, it might be a missing ODBC driver on the server or missing
DSN, etc.

Hope that helps.
