I am attempting to process a dimension in Analysis
Services running on my local machine. The dimension data
exists on another server that I connect to using Windows
authentication. The data source for my cube tests ok. I
get the error message that follows when I try to process
the dimension:

Data source provider error: Login falied for user 'NT
AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON', 42000

Has anyone seen this error? What setting causes Analysis
services to connect with an anonymous logon?

The MSSQLServerOLAPService would generally run on Local System Account.
Please change that to a valid Domain User Account who has access to the SQL Server database.
(Administrative tools - Services - Right Click on MSSQLServerOLAPService - Select Properties - Log On Tab )
