Does anyone have an idea if I can keep my cubes 100% online? Incremental updating the dimensions is not possible. Also the possibility of using ROLAP is not available for us. Other possibilities? Regards, Nico |

This is a not so difficult! A practical solution of one of our customers: 100% online cubes / olap database on internet. Just buy a second server and process the OLAP database and make an archive / backup and restore on the production server. The production server shows data till the new update has been fully restored for 100%. Marco, I've done a restore on a seperate server. Then all my cubes where not processed. This is maybe because it was a complete new DB created from a restore? I processed some of my cubes. Then restored my db again over te existing one, but again all my cubes are unprocessed. What do I do wrong? "Marco Groeneveld" wrote: This is a not so difficult! When I restored the cubes I used the analysis manager of the original machine. This apparently doesn't work? When I used the analysis manager on the machien where I do the restore there is no problem. Nico "verbani" wrote: Marco, I've done a restore on a seperate server.
