I would like to have my report running faster and to use OLAP. I would like to know that does SQL server 2000 create temporary tables for us or programmer needs to create tables to store summary data for report? Are there any programming or stored procedures need to be done in order to generate the reports using OLAP? Your help is great appreciated, |

Your help is great appreciated, Hello, * Are you really using SQL Server 2000 *SSRS and SSAS? *You will have to create a data set against SSAS by writing MDX. *I don't remember if SSRS 2000 has an SSAS compatible IDE, for MDX generation. *2005 makes this process a lot easier. *I don't believe that you'll have to create anything in the database for the report with an SSAS data source. *I highly recommend upgrading to 2008 for a much more stress-free development cycle with SSAS and SSRS. |
