Default create Dimension - 10-25-2006 , 01:42 PM






i am creating dimension in SSAS2005,

In 2000 my dimension format is like this
State
City
Zip

Ex. Californaia
San Fransisco
900xx
901xx
902xx
New Jersey
Edision
089xx
082xx


State is higher level below is city and then zip,

how to achive in 2005, I created dimesnion
it first display all state after that City and then Zip

I want State under state what are all the city under city zip code

You can design user hierarchy in Dimenson Designer.

Click Dimension Structure tab and you can see Hierarchies and Levels pane by
Attributes pane.

Drag State attribute from Attributes pane onto Hierarchies and Levels pane,
and then one hierarchy appears.
Next you add more levels to the hierarchy such as City and Zip.
