Default Crashing msxisapi.dll with large MDX messages - 11-16-2006 , 11:41 AM

When we send SOAP messages around 30k bytes long, IIS 5 terminates
unexpectedly. Does this ring a bell with anyone as to what system needs to
be adjusted and where? IIS 5 and SSAS 2000.

Follow-up to self: The crash seemed to be a combination of size and
malformed MDX. My log shows even larger, successful MDX queries. I'm
suspecting the client has XMLA 1.0 and/or non-SP4 SSAS2000 since the same
query executes just fine on my dev server.

There is a MaxRequestSize property for XMLA 1.1 -- the default is 128 KB
though...

Thanks,
Akshai
