Default Copy cube including private virtual dimensions - 08-12-2003 , 09:07 AM

Hi!

We use MSAS SP3a. Normally we develop on a dev server and then migrate
the cubes to a prod server.

This worked well with copy 'n' paste in AS as long as there were no
private virtual dimension(s) in the cubes.

After copy 'n' pasting such a cube, the p.v. dimension does appear in
the destination cube but the cube does not work; the p.v. dimension
somehow lost its connection to their belonging base dimension.
I then have to manually delete and rebuild them.

Anyone knows a hint how to copy cubes including p.v. dimensions? Without
backing up and restoring the whole database?

Any help is appreciated,
Thank you very much in advance,
Javor
