Microsoft Analysis Services Specialist
Located New York
Description To provide Analysis Services expertise to the newly formed
OLAP service team, which is part of the DBA department. The role will
involve building the service from the ground up and is a technical
support role rather than a development role. Significant experience of
tuning Analysis Services activities such as the design, enhancement
and building of cubes is required as the role will involve supporting
application developers as well as setting standards and establishing
best practices for the OLAP service. Skills Required
1. At least 2 years recent experience of Analysis Services
2. Ability to install/configure Analysis Services
3. Strong Windows OS experience.
4. Strong cube design and build experience
5. Ability to diagnose and resolve run time problems with Analysis
Services
6. Experience with a variety of relational databases preferred (e.g.
UDB, Sybase, DB2)
7. Experience of data warehousing and business intelligence tools a
plus
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Skills Desired
