Default Connection problem - 10-03-2004 , 05:25 AM

Hi,

I have an AS server with serveral cubes running in a AD domain. The server
is known as servername.prefix.domain.com. The cubes can be accessed by users
within this domain. Users from another domain (prefix2.domain.com) cannot
access the cube. In the application log of the eventviewer on the AS server
is a message saying that the user from domain prefix2.domain.com is trying to
access a cube but has no permissions on it.

I have defined a role with the Everyone group in it to all the cubes on the
server. I have set the validation to Client.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Hi Jéjé,

No, there is no trust between the domains.

if you want anonymous access use this in the connection string:
SSPI=Anonymous

if you dont trust your domains you cant use the user authentication (except
if the users login/passwords are the same on the 2 domains)
