Default Connecting using HTTP - VPN - 05-17-2005 , 12:44 PM

Hi,

I am trying to connect to an OLAP database using SQL Analysis Services
Manager over a Cisco VPN connection.

When I attempt this I get the following error:
Errors occurred. Cannot open connection to Analysis server Error in data
[Possible data corruption].

My problem is seems to be the same described on
http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.c...1045920&page=1.

Connecting using HTTP seems to be the solution for this situation but:
- first, where to find a step by step procedure about how to set up the
server side configuration? (IIS, users, ecc.).
- to do this seems that I need to use the Analysis Services/Enterprise
Edition. If yes do I need also to update SQL Server to Enterprise Edition? If
not, no problem with 2 different product type - standard/enterprise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Luca
