Default Connecting to SSAS from Network Service account - 11-11-2006 , 09:27 PM

Can you connect to Analysis Services from the Network Service account of
another computer? I'm working with Business Scorecard Manager and the people
over at that newsgroup are saying SQL 2005 SP1 introduced a bug (or tightened
down security) that does not allow the network service account from another
machine to connect.

its recommanded to use a domain user account instead of service accounts.

But...
Try to add the $BSCMservername in the "users" authorized to access your
cubes.

and if you delegate the security you have to setup the kerberos delegation
correctly.

search IIS Kerberos on the MS web site for more detail.
