Default Connect to Analysis Services from a computer under a different dom - 02-15-2006 , 02:11 PM

Hello,

I have Analysis Services 2000 running on a server under domain A. How can I
connect to AS from a computer under a different domain B ?

Any suggestion(s) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you are running Enterprise Edition or Developer Edition, you can reach
your cube through HTTP.
See the Books Online on Analysis Services "Connecting Using HTTP".

If not, you basically have a problem. You might be able to reach it if you
create an AD user with the same user name and password in each domain, and
give the user in domain A access to the cube, but I wouldn't count on that.
