Default Conditional Rollup for Dimension ..Help Please.. - 11-30-2003 , 10:51 PM

Hi,

I have a Parent-Child Dimension Called 'Position'. The highest position is the GM (General Manager), then is Diirector1, Director2 etc. Then next level is Assist Director1 etc

Now Data is available for each in each level (Non-Leaf Data) in the fact table.

Question1
-----------
There are two Measures (Measure1, Measure2). For Measure1 the Rollup Should Happen, For Measure2 the Rollup Should not happen. Ie, the rollup condition is based on the Measure. What Should be Done

Question2
-----------
Also, for non-leaf data there is a dummy level introduced by Ms-OLAP called (* Data) i,e (GM Data) or (Director1 Data) etc.. like that it appears.. Is there a way to Hide this Data Level so that the Data is directly visible in the Actual Levels ie, GM, Director etc,

1) A common approach is to create calc member and hide the measure.
2) The dimension property that enables non-leaf data has 2 flavors, one of
which is exactly what you want.
