Compare sales of the same over last few years

Hi,

Sales fact table, plus date, store demention, etc. Requirement: compare
sales of the same day over last few years, of the same store(s). How do I do
that? The result showing to users would be drilldown of store sales, such as
2004 sales in one cloumn, 2003 sales next. User can filter, say March 1st,
or whole month of April. Then the result will show summary and/or anerage of
the sales in year 2004,2003,2002, ... during those day(s), of the selected
stores. Should I use day as a dimention and year as another?

I'm not sure, but ParallePeriod or PeriodsToDate will be helpful.
