Thanks for all the great replies. they really help.

I am using ProClarity as a client OLAP tool. I have done
some tests (using VB programs and MDX stmts) with
different Execution Locations and found out that in my
particular case Execution Location of 3 yields bests
performance.

Is there a way to permanently change the connection string
to Execution Location 3 in ProClarity. I am using the
MSOLAP (SQL2000) provider.

I think that if I change the properties of the MSOLAP
Provider, that should it. But I don't know where to go to
modify that property.
