Default change datasource Name of olap database - 01-14-2005 , 05:35 AM

How can I change the NAME of a datasource within the olap database.
To change connections to the database is not the problem, but the NAME of
the connections you cannot change, nomally.
I don't want to edit Cab files, I want a solid solution.
Who can Help me

You can chenage the name of a datasource only if no cube (or shared
dimension) uses it.
When you create a database, first create the datasource, then use
"copy/paste", and assign a name to the new datasource. Then delete the old
one, and create cubes using the new datasource.
Is not possible to delete datasources or change the datasource used by an
existing cube without editing the repository (ususally msmdrep.mdb).

Look in the AS Operations Guide
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../anservog.mspx
in the section titled "Data Source Configuration"
