Hi,

I need to change data source name (not the database that it points to but
the actual name) of an existing OLAP cube. How can i do that ?

No. See the Analysis Services Operations Guide at:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../anservog.mspx
in the section "Data Source Configuration". It has some recommendations.

You can rename any object in MS Analysis Manager using the native copy&paste
functionality.

But AM won't let you delete the original, ill-named data source after you
created the copy if the datasource was already used by any other OLAP object
such as dims, cubes, etc. so you have to think carefully beforehand.
