Sorry. No, there isn't. Unless you have a backup of the repository before it
went down? A common technique is to migrate your database to SQL Server and
then use your normal maintenance plan wizard -- or if using file-level
backups to include the .mdb MS Access version of the repository in your
file-level backup savesets.
This is talked about in the AS Operations Guide.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../anservog.mspx
Unfortunately there is no utility to rebuild the AS repository from the
on-disk file structures.
Hopefully you have taken a backup somewhere through the process and you can
go back to that.
I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it helps
somewhat to point you to another place to look for your backup.

Our server crashed. We reinstalled windows 2000 sql server 2000. when we
bring up analysis services it cant see the databases we had (they were not
archived) before the crash. The data bases are in the repository. We can
add a new database and have no problem accessing it. Is there anything we
can do to restore connectivity to the older databases? |
