Hi, After installing SP3, I can open the Analysis Manager once, but after closing it, it won't let me back in. After opening Analysis Manager and attempting to connect to the only server, after several minutes, I get an error saying it cannot connect because the user is not a member of the OLAP Administrators group. SQL Server and Analysis Server are both running locally on a new Dell computer. I have repeatedly assigned the proper group to my user account with no success. In order to get access again, I have to re-install SP3a. Please Help, Dave C. |

try this 1.. Give the OLAP Administrators group full control of the remote Data folder of Analysis Service. 2.. Give the MSSQLServerOLAPService start-up account full control of the remote Data folder. 3.. Give the OLAP Administrators group full control of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP Server "Dave C" <DCatherman (AT) cmisolutions (DOT) com> a écrit dans le message de news: uGGG2riqDHA.648 (AT) TK2MSFTNGP11 (DOT) phx.gbl... Thanks, I have accomplished steps 1 and 3 without results, but need some explanation on step 2. The exact message is "Unable to connect the the registry on the server (davidc), or you are not a member of the OLAP Administrators group on this server. I am beginning to suspect that it is more of a registry problem than the user group. I have tried running from my Administrators account instead of the domain account and it does not seem to help. If I don't find a solution soon, I may have to give up on SQL Server. I would appreciate any ideas you might have.
