Default Can't attach to analysis services. - 03-16-2005 , 09:55 AM

I setup analysis server sp3a on a windows 2003 box. I installed the client
piece on a windows 2000 sp4 box. On the server I migrated to sql from mdb.
I can attach to OLAP when logged on to the server itself. However, I can't
seem to attach to the OLAP server remotely. The error returned is: Can't
open connection to Analysis Server x. Security Error [The user could not be
authenicated]. The user is in the OLAP admin group(Server and Workstation).
I've checked the registry and OLAP does seem to have the proper permissions
set on the OLAP server HKEY. I think it has something to do with windows
2003. I've another box that is running windows 2000 and it works fine.

Thanks.

I assume all of your machines are in a common domain. True?
If not, it could be that with Win2003, it (by default) does not run
anonymous users in the Everyone group. Win2K it was enabled.
