Default cannot connect to my running analysis service - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it - 01-18-2006 , 01:17 PM

I cannot connect to my running analysis service on devprs01 (confirmed that
the service is running)

Is there a way I can specify what the named space is for the analysis
service?

Below is the error I am getting. I am trying to connect from my local
machine to our development server using SQL Server Management Studio.

Where can I find more information from MS on how to resolve this issue?

TITLE: Connect to Server

(Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)

I guess the one question I have is what version of AS are you trying to
connect to from Management Studio? My reason for asking is that you
can't connect to AS 2000 from the studio, only AS 2005. I actually
just ran into this exact same problem recently when I was trying to
connect.
