Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
I recently installed XP SP 2 (I know..I know..should have
done it a long time ago ). I can no longer connect to
the Analysis Manager 2000 on my machine. I get the
following message when I connect.

"cannot open connection to Analysis server 'SERVER'.
Connection to the Server is lost."

I have turned off the windows firewall to ensure that was
not the case. No luck. I then backed up my OLAP
databases, uninstalled Analysis Server, reinstalled it
and loaded SP 3 for Analysis server and still cannot
connect.

I am making the assumption this is related to XP SP2.
Since that is about the only new thing I have loaded
lately.

I ran into a similar problem this week. Make sure that
Service Pack 3 for Analysis Services is installed on your
machine and then run an Office Repair from the Control
Panel Add/Remove Programs.
