Dear all

I want to add a user to a cube role on a 64bit box runnig sql server 2005
x64 SP1 with cumulative hotfix from Management studio or from BIDS. I can add
the user or group but when I click OK, it does not stop executing with the
result that the user is not added.

What confuses me is that it works on a 32bit machine, also with sp1 and
cumulative hotfix for SP1.

have you try to save the XML/A script instead of executing the command
directly?

save it and execute this script to see where the system stop.
sometimes we can see the progress of the execution and this can help you.

Thanks for your advice. I tested it but it freezes, too. So I decided to
redeploy the SSAS Database - delete in Management Studio and deploy from
BIDS. After doing this, everything works fine.
