Can you setup Analysis Services 2005 to work with a SQL 2000 database?

We can do this with Reporting Services 2005 and SQL DB 2000

Sure. Is there a specific problem you are running into?

Thanks,

I was trying to get it set up. I have done that now and I can now connect
to SA through the SQL Server Management Studio. I can create a new
database. Now when I right click on the Data Source folder I just get
"Refresh". How do I create a new datasource?

Hey there.

The issue you are running into is that you can't create a Data Source
in the Management Studio. This has to be done through the SQL BI
Studio in VS. I just ran this through to verify. Once you get into
the BI Studio you will be able to choose the SQL 2k database as your
source and you should be good to go.

Interesting,

It works. I guess its the same idea as Reportign Services, you can connect
through SSMS but can't do much except maange roles and security .

Im glad I found the way to do it now.

thanks
