Thanx for your feedback, I saw that BO brings OLAP drivers, however they look outdated to me. I'm more than unhappy with their antique installation routine, and I think they should include the current drivers for OLAP (8.0). (The client does have the licence for OLAP connection to MS Analysis Server). What I'm looking for is a confirmation of my guess. I think it can't be having a OLAP Reporting Software from a 3rd party software company that promises access to Analysis Server not having the necessary drivers included. Is my understanding wrong ? best regards ********************************** Andreas Palm Hewlett-Packard (Schweiz) GmbH HPCI - MS.NET Software Development *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com *** Don't just participate in USENET...get rewarded for it! |

Hi there, when I do install BO 5.1.7 out of the box on a Win XP client I always run into errors. After applying ptsfull.exe it works. Now my question, is something missing on WinXP, or is BO just to stupid to include the proper versions of the msolap.dll ? best regards andreas |

The OLAP driver is not installed by BO So you must install the PTSLite/Full.exe before (or after) the installation of BO It's like the SQL Server/Oracle/DB2 etc... client's drivers -- ---------------------------------------------------- This mailbox protected from junk email by Matador from MailFrontier, Inc. http://info.mailfrontier.com/"]http://i- nfo.mailfrontier.com "Andreas Palm" a écrit dans le message de news:d0e0a20b.0307070101.41fd32fa (AT) posting (DOT) google.com"]news:d0e0- a20b.0307070101.41fd32fa (AT) posting (DOT) google.com...
