Default Building flat column from Parent-Child Dimension - 03-16-2005 , 01:01 AM

Hello everybody,

I have a cube with a parent child dimension. On every node of this
dimension the fact values are calculated by sum. I can see the
dimension and all values including the sums very well as a hierarchy.
Now I want to generate a report including this dimension. To save
space, I would like to put the hierarchy of the parent child dimension
in one column.
Is there a possibility to do so ?

I use Analysis server 2000.

Thanks in advanced,
Olaf

Mem1, Data1
Mem2, Data2
Mem3, Data3
: , :

or

Mem1 Data1
Mem2 Data2
Mem3 Data3
: :

At anyway, it's the share of client tools. It depends on how displaying the
contents of dataset returned by MDX query. Finally, UI will looks like MDX
Sample application, Cube browser or other else.
