Hello, I have a customer who has a BIP (Business Intelligence Portal) version 2.1.7. They need me to add some features to it. I am desperately trying to install BIP 2003 version 1.0.002 here, to have a local version of the software so I could play a bit with it. I did all the necessary software installation, as it was said in the requirements - Windows 2000 Server with SP4, SQL server with SP2, AS server with the latest SP, .NET framework, etc. However, when I install the software by launching the BIP_2003_V1_0_002.msi file, it fails in the installation with this error message: Title: SiteDefinitionInstaller.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services Msg: Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x6dc (1756), Thread id=0x6d8 (1752) [Ok] [Cancel] After this, installation detects failure and uninstalls anything that was copied onto the HDD until the error event. I can't think of what I could do to avoid this error. Perhaps someone on this forum could help out? I'd be greatly thankful. Thanks, Pavils |
