Hello,
I have installed BI Portal and it is basically working but
with a few pretty major teething (don't think thats a
contradiction) problems.

For example,
1) The treeview thats supposed to appear on the left hand
side, doesn't.
2) There's nothing in the "Folder" combo box
3) Selecting File->New->Folder or File->New->Category does
nothing at all
4) Most annoyingly. The sub menu underneath File->New
(i.e. the one containing View, Folder, Category) only
appears correctly once, and from then on it appears
exactly like the top left hand corner of the web page
(i.e. instead of the submenu it shows a box with the BI
Portal logs and the 'File' and ''Tools' menu options).
Very strange.

Anyone else had problems like these?

you need to install SQLXML3.0

I have installed all prerequisite software (including SQLXML3.0... have
tried both sp1 and sp2 in every possible combination with SOAP toolkit
2.0 sp2 and SOAP toolkit 3.0) twice to no avail. I'm still having
exactly the same problem as described earlier in this post (can't save
views, can't even create folders or categories, wacky 'file' sub-menu
behavior...). I can create data sources with no problem and belong to
all the proper user/admin groups, etc...



Any ideas? I'm very frustrated...
