Default BI Portal won't start - 02-23-2005 , 06:30 PM

The company recently had a power outage and we had to restart the
servers. When BI Portal database/application server booted up, we
can't run the BI Portal anymore. We are getting a "Server Application
Unavailable" from the IE window. Looking into the event log, we
noticed that the "SQL server reporting services" didn't start and we
couldn't make it to start.

/*----------------------------------------------------------------------*/
Service cannot be started.
Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities. InternalCatalogException:
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for
more details.

Originally we thought we had a trial version and it had expired, but
when we installed the non-trial version, we got a warning:

/*----------------------------------------------------------------------*/
The report server that you are upgrading is deployed as a Web farm.
the version you are upgrading to does not support Web farm deployment.
Before you can upgrade this server, you must configure the other report
servers that are part of the Web farm to use a different report server
database.
/*----------------------------------------------------------------------*/

Does anyone have ideas where we can pin point the problem? Thanks.
