I am having trouble getting the BI Portal to run on my local machine

I have all the prerequisites installed..
Everything (SQL, Analysis Services, etc sit locally
When it starts up, I only see the Folder and Filter by boxes. Folder contains no values and Filter by contains the standard options

I suspect this is something to do with my XML install (though I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling all prerequisites

Other things I see...when I click FIle New (anything), nothing seems to happen
Choosing import gives me 'File or Assembly name Microsoft.Data.SQLXML, or one of its dependencies, was not found

I'm convinced this is something I did wrong, but I'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the exact same problem, and it's driving me crazy
I tried copying the Microsoft.Data.SqlXml.dll file to the BIP/bin/ directory, but then the error message changes to something like "old version"..
I'm really out of ideas
